Description

For over forty years our family has been proudly growing grapes in the Napa Valley. We thoroughly select and use only 2% of the fruit we grow for our own limited production wines. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a duet of our favorite two vineyards: 52% Mast Ranch for its earthy, tannic structure, and 48% Flat Rock Ranch, our most critically-acclaimed block, for its juicy and vibrant approachability. Both single vineyard designates of the Yountville Appellation, these vineyards possess a cross section of geomorphic and micro-climate idiosyncrasies poised to produce a Cabernet Sauvignon of approachable refinement.

Tasting Notes

Since our Napa Valley Cabernet was the first red wine that we produced in 1999, each vintage has a warm spot in our hearts. With its deep purple tinged ruby color and long lasting legs the Napa Cabernet has a bouquet of wild berries, cocoa, cassis and toasted oak. The palate develops flavors of ripe plum, boysenberry, bittersweet chocolate, tobacco and baking spice. The long lingering finish has youthful tannins that keeps you coming back for more. This wine would pair perfectly with a Cambozola cheese or a hardwood grilled steak.
