Description
Our Flat Rock Ranch vineyard is located near the northeast corner of Yountville Cross Road. This prized, complex fruit is a result of unique geological and meteorological conditions. Volcanic soils similar to the adjacent Stags Leap District and coastal marine air currents from the San Pablo Bay to the south are caught when they reach the "Yountville Mounts," providing a natural cooling effect. These conditions, along with warm, sunny days, ripen the rich tannins of our hallmark Cabernet Sauvignon to elegant distinction.Tasting Notes
The vivid deep red rim with purple center alludes to the superior quality of this wine. The nose is clean with pronounced aromas of fig jam, Kona coffee, vanilla and cherry cola. This medium-bodied wine has supple tannins and medium acidity that are complemented by pronounced flavors of molasses, blackberry jam and rosemary.
