For over 50 years our family has been proudly growing grapes in the Napa Valley. We select and use just three percent of the fruit we grow for our own wines. We couldn't resist adding this Primitivo to our portfolio. Grown in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, these thriving vines develop bountiful grape clusters with concentrated fruit, lively acidity and soft tannins.
Tasting Notes
The luminescent ruby color grabs the eye, while delicate aromas of nutmeg, jammy cherry, and summer ripened raspberry precede the bright palate. Medium-bodied with youthful acid, the palate has pleasing notes of molasses, baking spice, Santa Rosa plum, and subtle floral notes on the finish. This wine is food-friendly, especially if it comes from the grill; the smoky and juicy qualities would pair perfectly with lamb or wild game. Drink now through 2030.Production Notes
