Our Flat Rock Ranch vineyard is located near the northeast corner of Yountville Cross Road. This prized, complex fruit is a result of unique geological and meteorological conditions. Volcanic soils similar to the adjacent Stags Leap District and coastal marine air currents from the San Pablo Bay to the south are caught when they reach the "Yountville Mounts," providing a natural cooling effect. These conditions, along with warm, sunny days, ripen the rich tannins of our hallmark Cabernet Sauvignon to elegant distinction.
Tasting Notes
The deep dark purple hue of this wine is a real showstopper. Aromas of blackcurrant, baked strawberry, black cherry and baking spice greet your nose. Full-bodied with sturdy tannins, this wine has notes of Bing cherry, toasted oak and marshmallow, followed by a long finish. This would be the perfect bottle to save in your cellar, or pair with a hearty dish like a braised Osso Bucco. Drink now through 2032.
