Suscol Ranch is located in the Southeastern part of Napa Valley. The hillside vineyard is composed of sandy loam soils, which lend themselves to produce Merlot with concentrated fruit and sturdy tannins. The cool breezes from the San Pablo Bay allow bright acid to develop in the grapes, which contribute to the structure and ageability of this Merlot.
Tasting Notes
An alluring nose of boysenberries, baking spice and fine leather leads way to a tannin filled palate complimented by the flavors of Bing cherries, ripe currant and sweet toasted oak. The bright lively finish leaves you craving your next sip. With surprising structure for a Merlot, this will be a special treat for years to come.
