2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The deep crimson appearance offers a rich bouquet of ripe strawberry, cranberry, roasted coffee bean, and brown sugar. Leathery tannins are balanced with bright notes of juicy red cherry, fresh tobacco, and tea leaf on the palate. A pleasing finish of cedar and dark fruit lingers.
For over forty years our family has been proudly growing grapes in the Napa Valley. We thoroughly select and use only 2% of the fruit we grow for our own limited production wines. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a duet of our favorite two vineyards: 70% Flat Rock Ranch, our most critically-acclaimed block, for its juicy and vibrant approachability, and 30% Mast Ranch for its earthy, tannic structure.
Both single vineyard designates of the Yountville Appellation, these vineyards possess a cross section of geomorphic and micro-climate idiosyncrasies poised to produce a Cabernet Sauvignon of approachable refinement.
